WHY
Removes contamination in your oil that could damage your engine and can help keep you vehicle in good running condition.
WHAT
- Drain engine oil.
- Change oil filter.
- Lubricate suspension if required.
- Refill engine with proper grade & amount of oil.
- Reset reminder if vehicle so equipped.
- Place reminder sticker on windshield.
- Check lights, windshield wipers & windshield washer.
- Check coolant level & strength.
- Check belts & hoses.
- Check all other fluid levels.
- Check air filter & cabin air filter.
- Check suspension, exhaust & drive shafts.
- Check air pressure in tires.
- Check need for tire rotation & rotate if required.
- Brake inspection done upon request.
WHEN
Every 3 months or 5,000kms for most vehicles using conventional oil (ie. not synthetic).
DID YOU KNOW?
- A dirty engine air filter can reduce your fuel mileage by 10%.
- A dirty cabin air filter can affect the amount of heating or cooling you receive in the passenger compartment.
- Some vehicles have extended intervals based on oil type or driving style.
WHY
To remove rust, scale, lime & sludge and replenish lubricants & corrosion inhibitors in the antifreeze which helps protect the water pump, radiator, heater core & heater hoses.
WHAT
- Flush the engine, radiator & heater core in both directions.
- Bring antifreeze to -35 ° F freeze protection.
- Balance ph level (non acidic).
- Visually inspect cooling fan and heater for proper operation .
- Check belts & hoses.
WHEN
Every 2 yrs or 45,000km.
DID YOU KNOW?
- Extends the life of all cooling system components.
- Reduces temperature of not only cooling system but transmission & A/C systems too, thereby extending the life of these systems.
- Cooling system failure / overheating is one of the major causes of roadside failure.
WHY
- Increase tire life.
- Better fuel mileage.
- Improved handling.
- Safer driving.
WHAT
- Adjust the angles of the front wheels in relationship to the rear wheels.
- The 3 major angles that are adjusted are caster, camber & toe; front & rear.
WHEN
Every 12 months or 25,000km.
DID YOU KNOW?
- Many front wheel drive vehicles require a 4-wheel alignment.
- Many of today’s vehicles require steering angle sensor recalibration after an alignment to ensure the stability control operates properly.
WHY
Under normal driving conditions heat & oxidation cause deterioration of the fluid while abrasives & contaminants increase, thereby reducing the life of your transmission.
WHAT
- Drain fluid.
- Remove pan.
- Inspect contents of pan to determine transmission condition.
- Replace filter.
- Clean pan.
- Replace pan with new gasket & torque to specifications.
- Refill transmission with proper fluid type & capacity.
WHEN
Every 50,000km.
WHY
- Fluid becomes contaminated.
- Fluid absorbs moisture & can rust brake system components from inside.
- Brake fluid can also break down from excess heat that is created from within the brake system.
WHAT
- Opening of all bleeders at the wheels & allowing the old fluid to drain while filling the master cylinder with clean new fluid of the appropriate type.
- Once the fluid runs clear then closing bleeders.
- bleed brakes
- Check the quality of the brake pedal feel.
- Double check level & test drive.
WHEN
Every 50,000km.
WHY
- Increase fuel mileage
- Deposits accumulate on intake valves, injectors, ports and combusion chambers causing loss of power, rought idle, hesitation, misfire, pinging, knocking, poor mileage and hard starting & increased emissions.
- Improves driveability.
- Reduces emissions.
- Restores horsepower.
WHAT
- Use a chemical to remove deposits around throttle plate, intake plenum, intake valves and combustion chambers.
- Use another chemical to clean injectors & entire fuel system.
WHEN
Every 50,000km.
WHY
- To promote even wear on all four tires to maximize tire life.
WHAT
- Changing the position of the tires by removing rims and repositioning on the vehicle
WHEN
- Every 5,000 to 10,000 km
DID YOU KNOW? WHY WHAT WHEN WHY WHAT WHEN
DID YOU KNOW?
- On vehicles that have a water pump driven by the timing belt the manufacturer recommends changing the water pump as well.
